Thanksgiving with EPAS Shelter Pups 11/27/24, 11-12pm

Join us to help serve a delicious Thanksgiving meal, provided by Double Dog Dare Bakery, to each of the pups at the EPAS main shelter. We need walkers/runners to take the pups out to stretch their legs, as well as volunteer "servers" to help prep the meals for when the pups return from their walk.

About the Event
The shelter pups that will be participating in this event range from 40-80lbs. Most of them have not had much leash training, and will probably be very excited when coming out of the kennels. Volunteers must be comfortable handling large dogs, and understand that if a dog is not a good match, they may be reassigned or offered the option to assist with other tasks.
Participants must be 18 yrs old to be assigned a dog. Underage participants are welcome to come along with mom or dad, but they cannot be responsible for the leash. (The only exception would be for minors who have registered as a volunteer with El Paso Animal Services, and completed orientation & Level 1 handling training.) This event is not suited for smaller children who cannot walk on their own. Please do not bring strollers, baby carriers, or family pets along.
